Not quite as powerful as my gas weed eater, but did everything, much of it easier. I was afraid of the short and thin string these use, but I did my entire yard and edged with one spool, and still have some left! I could never do that with my gas eater. I was concerned with battery power lasting long enough as we have a big yard (.42 acre) and lots of extra beds and stonework to go around. I intentionally bought the combo unit with 2 batteries just to have the 2nd battery. I was shocked when I finished weed eating and still had power left, so I put it on the blower and cleaned off the sidewalks and stone work. It did run out at that point, but I still had an entire fresh battery unused! I didn't expect to like the blower as I have 2 good electric blowers, but it worked well and I didn't have to get out my 100 foot cord and move it 3 times like usual. Very pleased. I only used it so far this one time and it was a worse than average amount of grass as I couldn't get my gas weed eater to start for the last month. Been mowing, but not weed eating for that month. Overall I'm very pleased. Much lighter and easier than my more powerful gas version.
Got the 40V package for my mom, sister has the 20V. Batteries do not interchange on tools or charger. Batteries Do Not last more than 20 minutes, charge for 5-6 hours for re-use. I have "Ego" products, much better, batteries interchange, charge time 30-45 minutes, even the smallest battery last 45 minutes on my "Ego Weed Trimmer" the "Ego" Blower last 5 x's longer. Batteries are interchangeable on tools & chargers. I have 2 different style chargers & 2 different size batteries and looking for 2 larger batteries which I'm sure wrll fit. The "Worx" tools or made to make "Worx" money....they are not built for the consumer !
Using both batteries I can complete my yard with battery left over. Trimmer works good. Blower little light on power, but does the job on concrete. I am happy so far. Have only used units twice. Prior had electric units and hated dragging 150 feet of extension cord around yard. Love the battery powered easy of use.
