Yoohoo Commerce Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Red Santo Enterprises (“Yoohoo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when people use Yoohoo websites, apps, points, referral, receipt, shopping, merchant-discovery, and commerce-verification services (collectively, the “Services”). It also explains how Yoohoo Commerce connects participating merchants and commerce platforms to Yoohoo.
1. Information we collect
Account and profile information
We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, account identifier, login information, communication preferences, and profile information. Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way protection; we do not store readable passwords.
Shopping and transaction information
When you follow a merchant link, place an eligible order, request missing points, or upload a receipt, we may receive or create transaction-related information such as merchant, order or receipt identifier, purchase date and time, eligible subtotal, currency, order status, refund or cancellation status, and items or categories where needed to determine eligibility. Yoohoo does not need or store full payment-card numbers.
Referral and attribution information
We may use referral identifiers, signed links, cookies, local storage, cart attributes, timestamps, and similar technologies to determine whether a purchase followed a Yoohoo referral. Referral windows vary by merchant agreement. Attribution records may connect an eligible purchase to a Yoohoo account without exposing the customer’s account details to other users.
Points and rewards information
We keep records of points earned, pending, adjusted, redeemed, reversed, or expired; the reason for each entry; the participating merchant; and related transaction identifiers. Refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, duplicate claims, or ineligible activity may reduce or reverse points, including after points have been used.
Receipts and verification data
If you upload a receipt, we collect the submitted image or PDF and information extracted from it, which may include merchant name, address, telephone number, transaction number, date, time, amount, and purchased items. We use automated recognition and merchant matching, with human review where appropriate. Please remove unrelated personal information before uploading.
Contact matching
Where a participating merchant supports automatic purchase matching, you may choose to use contact details from your Yoohoo account. Yoohoo may convert those details into keyed, non-reversible fingerprints for matching. The matching system is designed not to store the merchant-provided contact value in readable form. If automatic matching is unavailable, you may voluntarily provide a receipt or order identifier.
Device and usage information
We may collect IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, error logs, and interactions with the Services. We use this information to operate, secure, measure, and improve Yoohoo.
2. How we use information
- Provide accounts, points, referrals, receipt processing, merchant discovery, and customer support.
- Attribute and verify eligible purchases, refunds, cancellations, and reversals.
- Prevent duplicate claims, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Calculate merchant activity scores using verified activity; ratings and reviews are not used for that score.
- Maintain transaction, audit, accounting, and compliance records.
- Personalize and improve the Services and measure program performance.
- Send service messages and, where permitted, marketing communications that you can opt out of.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect users, merchants, Yoohoo, and others.
3. Participating merchants and commerce providers
Participating merchants and commerce platforms process purchases under their own terms and privacy policies. Yoohoo may receive limited order events from providers such as Shopify or Square and may send referral or attribution identifiers to those providers. We do not control a merchant’s checkout, fulfillment, payment processing, or independent use of customer information.
4. How we share information
We may share information with: participating merchants when needed to verify eligibility or resolve a claim; commerce, hosting, analytics, OCR, security, communications, and support providers acting for us; professional advisers; authorities when legally required; and parties to a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual.
We do not sell payment-card information. Yoohoo does not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws define targeted advertising or certain data transfers as a “sale” or “sharing”; where those laws apply, we provide the required choices.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Yoohoo and participating providers may use cookies, signed referral parameters, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies for login, security, preferences, attribution, analytics, and program measurement. Browser controls may limit cookies, but doing so can prevent purchase attribution or automatic points.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain points and transaction histories, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, meet contractual and legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by record type. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information longer. Deleting an account does not require deletion of records we must keep for legal, security, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encrypted transport, signed requests, limited provider permissions, and one-way matching fingerprints where supported. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing. You may also update account information, decline optional contact matching, choose not to upload receipts, disable non-essential cookies through available controls, and unsubscribe from marketing email while continuing to receive service messages.
To submit a request, email privacy@yoohoo.io. We may verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. You may appeal a denied request by replying to our decision.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Additional age limits may apply under local law. Contact us if you believe a child provided information without appropriate consent.
10. International use
Yoohoo is operated from the United States. If you use the Services elsewhere, information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy as the Services change. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
