I needed a lightweight but sturdy backpack. I've been searching for quite a while now. After about a week of use, I can say that this one pretty much nails it. My uses: carrying stuff while riding a bike, going to the gym (or in my case swim class with my kid), running errands around the city with the previously mentioned kid, and the occasional hike (both urban and nature). So far it's held up great (I've trashed several other backpacks in less than a week of my 'normal' use). The hardware and stitching seem solid, and they have a lifetime warranty (which I will be sure to use should anything fail). Overall I'm pleased, and for the price you can't go wrong. It's not too big, and not too small!
Exceptionally compact and easy to keep close by, in the event you find you need to quickly and easily expand your amount of storage or carry capacity. The fact the bag folds in to itself and is so light weight make this possible.Personally, I was hoping the bag would be big enough for me to put my full face motorcycle helmet into the bag on days where locking the helmet to the bike are not an option. It turns out the main compartment is just a little to small in its maximum opening for this to happen. That said, the bag has become an every day part of my gear as it fits perfectly into saddle bags and as mentioned, is quickly available for expanded storage without getting in the way while not being used.
Perfect timing! I saw a friend's review of this pack just when I had been thinking I need a new backpack for cycling and walking. So I decided to get one and have been using it for a week. It's good quality and the fabric is light but strong and water resistant.I've been carrying my 10" laptop, along with books, and other items and it, and it feels good on my back and shoulders. The shoulder straps don't dig into my shoulders like other daypacks I've had and are easy to adjust once it's on the back. I haven't tried to fold it back into the large front pocket but that's another cool function of the pack. There are two good sized front pockets with one small zip pocket on the outside of the top front pocket that holds my phone and is great for headphone wire because it zips up and holds the headphone wire in place! The main pack interior has a divided section that fits a laptop, or folders, etc, and helps to keep things in place. The zippers are good quality and don't get stuck. All in all, it's a great pack, holds a lot of stuff and the price is definitely spot on!
