I bought this from eBay as a refurbished model. I absolutely love this vacuum! It is light weight. and easy to carry. We have two big hairy cats. It does much better on carpets than bare floors but I used it right after using my full size vacuum and was amazed at how much this vacuum picked up. My house seems so much cleaner now and carrying it up the stairs and all over the house is a breeze. The rotary beater tends to scatter bits around the solid surfaces especially if they are 1/2” or larger. All in all I am very pleased with this machine. I vacuum every day now instead of once per week or even less. We are selling our house so keeping up with cleaning is a must and this makes life so much easier especially in a two story home. There were only very minor signs of being previously used. I cant say enough for this vacuum. It’s great!
Product vacuums great, but the release mechanism for emptying the collection bin does not work. Since the collection bin in so small, it needs emptying more often than a regular size model, so this is extremely inconvenient.
This is great for use on stairs and for small areas. It’s very light weight and easy to carry. Works very well on carpets, pet fur on furniture, and hardwood floors. Have only had it for a few weeks so can’t comment on reliability but my other full size Dyson has worked well for several years. I’d recommend this.
I'm very impressed with this unit overall. I have a super furry cat and it cleans my entire 1 bedroom condo without losing power on the main setting. I'm extremely satisfied with its ease of use and power. Holds up easily to wall mount where power cord can be run through to charge after each use. I use it daily. It was awkward to use the first couple of times, but once you are used to it, it handles and maneuvers rather well. It is not designed to sit against a wall without being in the mount. It's top heavy and will likely slip or slide to the floor. It is not easy to clean right off the bat, but again, after a couple of times opening the canister, it becomes quite simple. I felt as though I was going to break it at first. Wish the wall mount had a connection for each attachment to keep in one place. It does not. Only 2 smaller attachments can be placed there. Also, if it is pointed straight down without an attachment in place, there is nothing to stop debris from falling back out. It has to be cleaned after every use. But again, once you figure it out, it's very easy to do. I did have to watch YouTube and recommend such as the directions are very vague and difficult to understand. Again, OVERALL, I'm pleased.
We have 2 dogs who shed constantly. The V7 Animal works as well as our corded Dyson upright, but is lighter and easier to maneuver. The only limitations are the size of its canister, and duration of battery power. It can usually clean our entire downstairs (700 sq ft hardwood + 200 sq ft rugs) without running out of battery. I've also removed the tubes and used just the beater brush in my car on its carpeting with very good results. I'd recommend it to anyone as a 2nd vacuum for quick cleaning/dusting/stairs/overhead; or the primary vacuum for a small house or apartment.
