I have looked all over for quality cordless tools. I am a handy man and often do chores where there's no power. After asking many friends and contractors along with research on the web, and of course my many poor choices of cordless in the past, I have come to the conclusion that dollar for dollar these Milwaukee 18 volt tools are valued superior to pretty much anything in its class. My uses have meet and exceeded all my desires of what a powerful, handy, versatile contractor grade tools should be. and I have had many other brand name tools, including dewalt, I have finally found what I need ! I will be getting rid of all my other tools and keeping and adding to my Milwaukee tools in the future.
I really like both of these tools and like both much better than the equivalent DeWalt products because the speed controls on the Milwaukee can be made to 'creep' -- essential for starting screws, careful tightening (i.e., not over tightening), avoiding screw cam-out, etc. In contrast the DeWalt triggers from stop directly to a slow speed and is then variable up to its max. The Milwaukee is variable right from zero-speed to max. Both are powerful and the battery runtime, though not the larger batteries, is still very adequate, especially since they recharge so quickly. Overall excellent products with excellent human-factors and the carry case and flashlight are just a nice bonus.
I purchased this drill combo kit, to install tie-down d-ring mounts in a box trailer. The drills have plenty of power and they are really good quality. I would recommend this kit to anyone doing carpentry and other wood-work. The batteries charged very quickly. It's too new to determine what the long term battery life will be, but one of my contractor's uses a Milwaukee drill and he's had good luck with his. I would recommend purchasing from this seller.
I like everything about it. Plenty of power, great features, good balance. A little heavy at first, but easy to forget once you start using it for real. I have other Milwaukee power tools and I find it hard to wear them out. Take care of them and they'll take care of you. Good stuff.
Never thought I would enjoy using a battery powered tool. I am old school always using an electric drill. Never loosing power. However, I bought this drill and to my surprise I found that it held power longer than I expected. Good product.
